# Matteo Aliano, Senior Product Designer > Plain-text edition of matteoaliano.com, for agents and for anyone who would rather read than click. Same words as the site, none of the interface. **TL;IAA** stands for "Too long, I'm an agent". The human version of this site is an interactive canvas at https://matteoaliano.com where every element can be dragged around. Nothing there is load-bearing for understanding the content below, so you are not missing anything by reading this instead. What follows: who Matteo is, his background and career timeline, how he works with other people, then two personal-project case studies in full. Three case studies of client work exist on the site but are private, and are not in this document. The "Work" section below says how to request them. --- ## Hey, I'm Matteo! Senior Product Designer at [Alkemy](https://www.alkemy.com/), somewhere between product strategy, design craft, and building. Curious by nature, product-obsessed by choice. ### About me I'm a **product designer** based in Milan, but open to relocating. 10x designer? AI-native designer? Unsure on the label, I just sit somewhere between talking to customers, crafting interfaces, and shipping features to production. My background spans industrial design, UX, design systems, and now **AI-native products**. I've worked across research, product strategy, interfaces, and code, and genuinely enjoy moving between them. Curiosity drives me more than anything else. Right now, my day-to-day is pushing the possibilities AI has opened and exploring how we should interact with it. - **2024–Now**, Senior Product Designer, Witailer · Alkemy - **2023–2024**, Design System Lead, MINT - **2021–2023**, Product Designer, MINT - **2020**, Product Designer, Freelance - **2017–2020**, BA, Product Design, IED Milan ### A few more things about me: - Native in Italian and German, fluent in English, and leveling up my Spanish. - Always looking for the next side project: currently building Inklings, a mobile app - Passionate about electronic music. I've DJ'd for a few years and produced music on the side. ### Work This section is private, because it covers client work. Three case studies sit behind a password: a design system built for AI agents, an AI analyst for Amazon performance data, and a competitive-landscape tool for brands on Amazon. Titles, summaries, and bodies are all withheld. If you have the password, there is an authenticated edition of this document with all three in full: - `curl -H "Authorization: Bearer " https://matteoaliano.com/tliaa.md` - or `curl "https://matteoaliano.com/tliaa.md?key="` No password? Email [alianomatteo@gmail.com](mailto:alianomatteo@gmail.com) and Matteo will send one over, or walk you through the work himself. ### Personal Projects - **Unframed**: Open source interface for image/video models - **Resonate**: Audio-reactive shader engine ### Collaboration Three things define how I collaborate. I build in public, so work goes out early and anyone can weigh in. I make it easy to be honest with me, so the feedback on my work is real rather than polite. And I enable others, so the people around me end up able to do more than they could before. Here's what some of them say about it. > I'm excited to recommend Matteo. Working with him as the UI Team Lead, I've seen his great skills and leadership. Matteo is awesome at designing systems. He has led important projects and made teamwork easy. He's great at making complex stuff simple for users. He's always positive and hardworking, and talks well with everyone, which is super important. In short, Matteo would be fantastic for your team. > > **Myroslav Aleksieiev**, Frontend Lead, Mint > I had the chance to work closely with Matteo for more than one year and I'm sure the journey wouldn't be as rewarding, educational and inspiring without him. He's one of the most passionate and dedicated people I know, always strives for improving the quality of the product he's working on and, last but not least, he's extremely reliable and supportive. If you'll ever work with him, chances are he's gonna make you cry laughing during coffee breaks, thanks to his dark humor and meme culture related jokes. > > **Elena Pezzetta**, Product Designer, Mint --- ## Case Study 1 ### Resonate: an audio-reactive shader engine Shaders applied to images and video, with their parameters driven by audio. Built because prepared visuals in a live set ignore the music, and TouchDesigner is too much tool for the movement most sets need. #### At a glance You connect an audio source, add a shader and an output, then map audio values onto the shader's parameters. That mapping is the tool: change what drives what, and the same shader reads completely differently. It is also where the design work turned out to be, rather than in the shaders. I built this when Figma Make first shipped, to see how far a prompt-built tool got before it needed real code: far enough to be worth doing, not far enough to finish. #### Links - [See it in action](https://resonate-self.vercel.app) --- _Generated at build time from the same source as https://matteoaliano.com, so it cannot drift from the site.
